Roles and permissions

A person’s role decides which screens they see: a forbidden entry does not appear in their menu. The server checks every action: a screen open for reading does not authorise its buttons. The role is chosen when the account is created, in Users, where the Ce que chaque rôle peut faire (What each role can do) matrix also details every action. Roles are introduced in Roles. Screen titles are quoted in French, as the back office shows them.

Back-office roles

Security (read-only)	Surveille : salle en direct, alertes et journal d’audit — jamais un montant.
Finance (read-only)	Lit tout l’argent : comptabilité, rapports et exports, caisses, coffre, transferts, paiements manuels, journal d’audit — aucune action.
Marketing	Anime la salle : promotions.
Technician	Mise en service et tests des machines pulse (onglet « Tests », rapport de test) — jamais l’argent ni les paramètres.

The Cashier, Tablet cashier, Floor attendant roles do not enter the back office: they work in the register app (main register, tablet, floor attendant’s phone).
