Mode corrections

The cashier picked the wrong payment mode (cash instead of Orange Money, for example)? The movement is never rewritten: it is corrected. The correction adds an offsetting line to the drawer that holds the money, fixes the new mode on the movement, and is written to the audit log.

Only the administrator decides: they approve or refuse requests, or correct directly. Operations and finance read the corrections.

Tabs: En attente (Pending), Validées (Approved), Refusées (Refused), Retirées (Withdrawn), Toutes (All). Each row: Mouvement (Movement: “l’encaissement de 100 000 Ar du 24/09 à 14:32:07 (la caisse de Caissière A)”, the 100,000 Ar intake of 24/09 at 14:32:07, Cashier A’s register), Avant → après (Before → after), Montant (Amount), Demandé (Requested: by whom, when), État (State).

  1. Open the request. The record shows Avant (Before) and Après (After), the amount, the cashier’s Motif (Reason), the Caisse du mouvement (Movement’s register) and the Tiroir compensé (Offset drawer).
  2. Read Si elle est validée maintenant (If approved now): the server’s preview gives the effect on the drawer and on the takings (nothing is written).
  3. Click Valider la correction… (Approve the correction…) (with an optional comment), then Valider la correction (Approve the correction), or Refuser… (Refuse…) with a required Motif du refus (Reason for refusal), then Refuser la demande (Refuse the request).

After approval, the Correction appliquée (Correction applied) banner says what was written. A refusal changes nothing; the alert clears.

From the record of a movement (intake, withdrawal, paid debt, manual payment, counter payout, general ledger line), the administrator finds Corriger le mode de paiement… (Correct the payment mode…). The Corriger le mode de paiement (Correct the payment mode) screen:

  1. Shows the Mode enregistré (Recorded mode).
  2. Under Nouveau mode (New mode), choose the right mode: the effect of each choice is calculated by the server. Enter the Référence du paiement (Payment reference) if the mode requires one.
  3. Click Corriger le mode… (Correct the mode…), write the reason, then confirm Corriger le mode (Correct the mode).

If a request is already waiting for this movement, decide it first.

“The cashier paid out 100,000 Ar in cash; in fact it was 50,000 Ar in cash and 50,000 Ar in Orange Money.” Any payout to a player (debt, manual payment, withdrawal, counter payout) can be split:

  1. Turn on Répartir entre plusieurs modes (Split across several modes).
  2. Under Nouvelle répartition (New split), one row per mode: mode, amount, reference. + Ajouter un mode (+ Add a mode) takes the remainder; Retirer (Remove) deletes a row.
  3. The counter says “Reste à répartir : …” (Left to split: …), “Trop réparti de …” (Over-split by …) or “✓ Réparti” (✓ Split). The effect on the drawer is shown once the whole amount is split.
  4. Click Corriger le mode… (Correct the mode…) and confirm.

An intake cannot be split. The number of modes in a split is limited by a venue setting.

  • Register already closed: the correction is allowed. The register difference is recalculated and marked “Écart corrigé après clôture” (Difference corrected after close), next to the difference found at the count, which is never rewritten.
  • To a mode not in takings (“Offert”, Complimentary): the credits of a corrected intake become complimentary — never takings.
  • Changing a mode’s setting (cash, in takings) never rewrites history: only a correction does, movement by movement. See Payment modes.
