Money discrepancies
Lucky Touch only counts what the machine has proven: a credit requested but not confirmed is never counted as done. When an amount seems to be missing, it is almost always one of the cases below. Each has its own screen; none is settled silently.
A transfer is “uncertain”
Section titled “A transfer is “uncertain””What you see: a critical alert “D-01 : crédit de 50,000 Ar incertain (à vérifier) depuis 12 min (…)” (D-01: credit of 50,000 Ar uncertain (to be checked) for 12 min (…)), and the transfer marked incertain (uncertain) in Exploitation (Operations) → Transferts (Transfers).
Why: the register sent the order, but the machine’s proof did not come back (device unplugged, network cut, machine switched off at the wrong moment). The money may not have moved, or it may have: the system does not guess.
What to do:
- Look at the machine: is the player’s credit there?
- In the back office, open the transfer (Exploitation (Operations) → Transferts (Transfers) → the line). In the Décision de l’exploitation (Operations decision) section: Redemander la preuve (Request the proof again) first; if the device does not send it again, Résoudre — déclarer complété… (Resolve — declare completed…) or Résoudre — déclarer refusé… (Resolve — declare refused…), with a reason.
- The resolution is recorded in the log and in the general ledger; the transfer stays marked “résolu à la main” (resolved by hand).
As long as an order is not settled on a machine, the register refuses a new order on that machine. See Transfers.
The register has a discrepancy at closing
Section titled “The register has a discrepancy at closing”What you see: at closing, “Écart (manque de …) au-dessus du seuil — tentative 1/3. Recomptez.” (Discrepancy (short by …) above the threshold — attempt 1/3. Recount.)
What to do:
- Recount, note by note. Check the session’s counter payouts, tablet hand-ins and drops to the safe (the drawer ledger, at the register, lists them all).
- On the last attempt, the closing goes through with the discrepancy recorded. The discrepancy is not erased: it awaits a decision.
- Operations staff decide on the discrepancy in the back office: Comptabilité (Accounting) → Fonds et avoirs (Floats and player balances) → Écarts de caisse (Register discrepancies), Décider l’écart… (Decide the discrepancy…) (loss, gain, deduction from the person, or to be investigated). See Floats and player balances.
A tablet hand-in with a discrepancy is shown in the same way (“écart de remise de … (manque) à régulariser par l’exploitation” — hand-in discrepancy of … (short) to be regularised by operations) and is settled in Caisses (Registers) → Tablettes (Tablets).
A credit was left on the device (coin machines)
Section titled “A credit was left on the device (coin machines)”What you see: on a coin machine in “player button” mode, the player left without bringing down the credit sent by the register. The device still shows the amount.
What to do: at the register, on the machine, Retirer du boîtier (Withdraw from the device) — “Un crédit oublié sur le boîtier se reprend ici, prouvé par le boîtier.” (A credit forgotten on the device is taken back here, proven by the device.) If there is nothing: “Rien à retirer : le boîtier de la machine … ne garde aucun crédit.” (Nothing to withdraw: the device of machine … holds no credit.) See Coin (pulse) machines.
An intake has a remainder, or a debt is open
Section titled “An intake has a remainder, or a debt is open”- A remainder: the customer paid more than what was credited (a machine refused, for example). The remainder is visible on the intake; it is credited, refunded or becomes a debt. It blocks the closing as long as it is not settled.
- A debt: the venue owes the player money, with a code. It never disappears on its own; an alert reminds you of debts open for a long time. See Pay a debt with its code and Debts.
- An “over-committed” intake (critical alert): a late proof credited a machine beyond what the customer had paid. Operations staff regularise it in the back office (Intakes).
After restoring a backup
Section titled “After restoring a backup”After a backup is restored, the manual payments, withdrawals, debts and transfers from before the restore are blocked: some may already have been paid after the backup. An administrator re-checks them, then closes the re-check. See Backups and restore.
