Payment modes

Payment modes are the ways a player pays or is paid: cash, mobile money, card, complimentary… They appear at the register in the order of this screen. Each mode has a kind, which decides whether it goes into the drawer and whether it counts in takings.

The administrator adds, changes, disables and reorders; operations consult (Lecture seule, Read-only, banner).

Changing a mode changes nothing in the past: each movement keeps the meaning its mode had at the time it happened.

Kind What it means
Espèces au tiroir (Cash in the drawer) Real money, in the register drawer; it counts in takings.
Hors tiroir, dans la recette (Outside the drawer, in takings) Money received somewhere other than the drawer (mobile money, card); it counts in takings. Such a mode is also a Mobile money operator.
Offert : hors tiroir · hors chiffre (Complimentary: outside the drawer · not in takings) A complimentary credit: no notes in the drawer, never takings (« Offerts », Complimentary, column in reports). It never pays a player.

In the list, badges restate it: désactivé (disabled), hors tiroir · hors chiffre (outside the drawer · not in takings), ne paie pas un joueur (does not pay a player).

  1. Click Ajouter un mode (Add a mode) (or Modifier, Edit, on an existing mode).
  2. Give a Nom (Name) (for example « Orange Money ») and, if you wish, a Description: a detail for the register.
  3. Choose the Genre (Kind).
  4. Référence obligatoire (Reference required): the register will have to enter the transaction reference (for example the number given by the operator). The same reference can never be used twice for this mode: this protects against fraud.
  5. Longueur de la référence (Reference length): Libre (Free), Exacte (Exact) (a number of characters) or Entre (Between) (a minimum and a maximum). It is counted without leading and trailing spaces.
  6. Actif : proposé à la caisse (Active: offered at the register), or Désactivé : plus proposé à la caisse (Disabled: no longer offered at the register).
  7. Save.

The Monter (Move up) and Descendre (Move down) arrows on each line move the mode. The order is that of the buttons at the register.
