Register sessions

A register session runs from the opening of a register (float counted) to its close (drawer counted). The back office shows the open registers live, the session history, and for each session its ledger line by line.

The session list

At the top, the open registers as cards: who holds it, since when (Ouverte, Opened), Entrées (In), Sorties (Out), Disponible (Available), and the Coffre (Safe). With no open register: “Aucune caisse ouverte” (No register open) — a register is opened from the register app.

Below, the history: Caisse (Register), Journée · shift (Day · shift), Ouverture (Opening), Fond (Float), Entrées (In), Sorties (Out), Tiroir (Drawer), Compté (Counted), Écart (Difference), État (State), Tentatives (Attempts, at closing). Filters: the period, Journée de jeu n° (Gaming day no., “JJ n°”), Type de caisse (Register type: Toutes (All), Principales (Main), Tablettes (Tablets)), and Ouvertes et clôturées (Open and closed) / Ouvertes (Open) / Clôturées (Closed).

Rapport de caisse (Register report) (at the top) exports the sessions for the period.

A session’s record

The top banner gives the Journée de jeu (Gaming day, fixed at opening), the Shift d’ouverture (Opening shift), the current shift, and, once closed, Clôturée (Closed: when, by whom). Two views: Fiche (Record) and Rapport X (X report).

The record shows:

• the drawer figures: Tiroir · réel (Drawer · actual), Dû aux clients (Owed to customers), Chez les tablettes (Held by tablets);
• the Théorique de clôture (Expected at close: what the drawer should contain), with cash by payment mode; and, after closing, Constaté à la clôture (Found at close): Théorique (Expected), Compté (Counted), Écart (Difference);
• Bilan (Summary), then Hors du théorique (Outside the expected: payments outside the drawer, complimentary, debts still open — for information);
• Encaissements de la session (Session intakes), Créances payées (Debts paid), Remises des tablettes (Tablet hand-ins), Tablettes tenues pendant ce service (Tablets held during this service), Demandes de coffre (Safe requests), Billettages (Note counts);
• the register’s Grand livre (Ledger): each movement with Heure (Time), Mouvement (Movement), Qui (Who), Montant (Amount) and Solde avant → après (Balance before → after), and a link to the transfer, intake, debt or correction concerned. Exporter le grand livre (Export the ledger) produces it as a file.

A tablet session is an extension of a main register: Voir dans Tablettes (See in Tablets) opens its supervision (see Tablets).

Difference corrected after close

If a mode correction touched a register that was already closed, the difference is recalculated and the Écart corrigé après clôture (Difference corrected after close) banner says so. The difference found at the count stays on screen: it is never rewritten.

Close a register from the back office

The cashier normally closes her register herself (see X report and closing). Operations can close a main register left open:

1. Open the session, click Clôturer la caisse… (Close the register…).
2. Enter the Compté par coupure (Count by denomination). The screen shows the Écart (compté − attendu) (Difference, counted − expected).
3. Write the Note de l’exploitation (Operations note, required), then Clôturer la session (Close the session).

If the server refuses (tablets not settled, intake remainders, unfunded intake…), the Clôture refusée par le serveur (Close refused by the server) banner says why, and the À traiter d’abord (Handle first) section lists what is blocking. As a last resort, the Clôture forcée (Forced close) option overrides unsettled tablets and intake remainders (they become debts) and accepts the difference: the button becomes Clôturer de force (Force close), and the session is marked clôturée de force (force-closed).

Caution

A forced close does not fix an unfunded intake: its alert stays open until the adjustment (see Intakes).

Counter payouts

A counter payout is a payment made to the player at the register. The list shows them all, by period: Heure (Time), Machine, Montant (Amount), Motif (Reason), Caisse (Register), Payé par (Paid by), Payé en (Paid in), Correction. Tabs: Toutes (All), En espèces (In cash), Hors tiroir (Outside the drawer); filter by Mode.

Click a row for the details: amount, machine, register, Titulaire de la caisse (Register holder), Payé par (Paid by), Payé en (Paid in), Journée de jeu (Gaming day). A paid payout cannot be cancelled; only its mode can be corrected (Corriger le mode de paiement… (Correct the payment mode…), administrator — see Mode corrections). If a correction is already waiting, Voir la correction demandée (See the requested correction) opens it.
