Payment modes and splits

Every money operation asks how the customer pays, or how the player is paid. The modes are those of your venue: the administrator creates and sets them in the back office (see Payment modes).

Under each mode, the register recalls its effect (or the description given by your venue):

Kind of mode Default sentence Drawer Takings
Espèces (Cash) “Le montant passe par le tiroir.” (The amount goes through the drawer.) yes counts
Mobile money (Orange Money, MVola…) “Encaissé hors tiroir · compte dans le chiffre.” (Taken in off-drawer · counts in takings.) no counts
Offert (Complimentary) (dotted frame) “Hors tiroir et hors chiffre : geste commercial tracé.” (Off-drawer and not in takings: recorded goodwill gesture.) no does not count

The meaning of a mode is frozen on each movement: if a mode is changed in the back office, the past does not move.

A mode can require a reference (the number of the mobile money payment). The Référence (Reference) step is then added to the flow.

  1. Type the reference exactly as it appears on the customer’s receipt. The hint in the field gives the expected length (“10 caractères”, 10 characters, “De 8 à 12 caractères”, From 8 to 12 characters…).
  2. The counter under the field (“8 / 10”) follows what you type; Continuer (Continue) stays off until the length is right, and the register says why (“La référence MVola fait 10 caractères.”, The MVola reference is 10 characters long.).
  3. Letters, digits and dots are allowed; spaces at the start and at the end do not count.

When money goes out to a player (withdrawal, manual payment, debt, counter payout, hand-over), the step is called “Comment le joueur est payé” (How the player is paid) (or “Comment le client est payé”, How the customer is paid) and offers only the modes that pay:

  • Espèces (Cash) — “Espèces : le montant sort du tiroir.” (Cash: the amount leaves the drawer.) The drawer must be enough.
  • a real off-drawer mode — “Hors tiroir : aucun billet ne sort du tiroir.” (Off-drawer: no banknote leaves the drawer.) (“… — référence du paiement obligatoire.”, … — payment reference required., if the mode requires it). An empty drawer can pay with mobile money.
  • Never “Offert” (Complimentary): a player is not paid in “Offert”.

For a withdrawal paid with mobile money, the reference only exists after sending: it is entered at hand-over. See Hand over / counter payout.

All the venue’s active modes are offered.

The player was paid in several parts — for example 50,000 Ar in cash and 50,000 Ar in Orange Money — but the register recorded everything in a single mode? The split is made afterwards, through a correction request that the administrator approves.

  1. Open the payment (ledger, history, manual payments, debts…) and tap Signaler une erreur de mode (Report a wrong mode).
  2. Turn on Répartir entre plusieurs modes (Split between several modes) (“Plusieurs modes”, Several modes).
  3. One line per mode: its mode, its Montant (Amount), its reference if the mode requires it. Ajouter un mode (Add a mode) adds a line, Retirer cette ligne (Remove this line) removes one. The counter says “Reste à répartir : …” (Left to split: …) or “Trop réparti de …” (Over-split by …): the total must be exactly the amount of the payment.
  4. The Motif (Reason), then Demander la correction (Request the correction).

The amount of the payment never changes: only its form changes. Each mode has only one line, and the number of modes is limited by the venue (“Au plus … modes pour une même sortie.”, At most … modes for a single payout.). An intake cannot be split this way. The full procedure: Report a wrong payment mode.
