Manual payments
A manual payment is a win that the machine does not pay itself: a win above its limit, a jackpot, or a player withdrawal that no register could take. The machine locks; the register pays the player by hand. On a standard (SAS) machine, it is the attendant’s key, turned on the machine, that authorises the payment.
How it goes
Section titled “How it goes”- The machine locks. Its tile changes to paiement manuel (manual payment), and the Paiement manuel déclaré (Manual payment declared) notification says “Clé du préposé pas encore tournée.” (Attendant’s key not turned yet.) The payment cannot be paid yet.
- The attendant turns the key on the machine. The tile changes to clé tournée (key turned), and the Clé tournée notification — “Paiement manuel à régler maintenant.” (Manual payment to settle now.) — moves to the top of “À traiter” (To do), with a sound.
- Tap Payer (Pay) in the notification (or the Paiement manuel operation, then the machine).
- Paiement manuel — “Paiement manuel à régler sur cette machine” (Manual payment to settle on this machine): tap the line (amount, type, time, clé tournée state).
- Mode de paiement (Payment mode) — “Comment le joueur est payé” (How the player is paid): Espèces (Cash), or a real mode (never “Offert”, Complimentary).
- Vérifier (Check): “− Paiement manuel — Paiement manuel de la D-01 : le client est payé” (− Manual payment — Manual payment of D-01: the customer is paid).
- Tap Payer 1 250 000 Ar (Pay 1,250,000 Ar) (with mobile money, the button also shows the mode).
- Verdict Paiement manuel réglé (Manual payment settled): in cash, the drawer goes down; off-drawer, no banknote leaves. The manual payment receipt prints.
The main register settles all manual payments of standard machines. A float of 0 allows no payment before a refill.
A tablet has the Paiement manuel operation only if the venue allows it; it then pays with its collected cash. A manual payment on a coin machine is never settled on a tablet: “Un paiement manuel (pulse) se règle à la caisse principale.” (A (pulse) manual payment is settled at the main register.)
The steps are the same, in the Opération (Operation) tab; the Clé tournée notification is in the À traiter (To do) tab.
What can happen in the meantime
Section titled “What can happen in the meantime”- Paiement manuel annulé (Manual payment cancelled) — “Annulé sur la machine, crédits rendus au joueur.” (Cancelled on the machine, credits returned to the player.): the player cancelled the withdrawal on the machine. Nothing to pay; tap Accuser réception (Acknowledge).
- Paiement manuel réglé (Manual payment settled) — “Réglé sur un autre poste.” (Settled on another device.): another register paid it. Nothing to do here.
- Pris en charge (Taken over) — “Réclamé par l’exploitation.” (Claimed by operations.): operations has taken over; it becomes payable.
The actions of operations
Section titled “The actions of operations”The Historique des paiements manuels (Manual payment history) screen lists the manual payments: Heure (Time), Machine, Montant (Amount), État (State), Qui (Who), Motif (Reason). Four actions there are reserved for operations: Prendre en charge (Take over: pay without a key turn), Libérer (Release), Annuler un paiement manuel (Cancel a manual payment), Rouvrir un paiement manuel (Reopen a manual payment).
- Pick the line.
- Enter the reason (at least 5 characters).
- A manager taps S’identifier (Identify), then Élever (Elevate) (see Roles) and chooses the action.
A manual payment already paid is never cancelled. On a line you paid, Signaler une erreur de mode (Report a wrong mode) corrects the payment mode: see Report a wrong payment mode.
Declare a manual payment without a signal
Section titled “Declare a manual payment without a signal”On a coin machine, the manual payment is normally created by the machine’s signal. If this signal is lost (device network down, device out of order) while the machine shows a payment on its screen, the register can declare it — with a manager’s approval.
- Paiement manuel operation, pick the machine: no line is waiting. Tap Déclarer un paiement manuel sans signal… (Declare a manual payment without a signal…) (or, on the Historique des paiements manuels screen, Déclarer sans signal…, Declare without a signal…).
- Paiement manuel sans signal — D-01 (Manual payment without a signal — D-01): read the explanation. Declare only if the machine shows this payment on its screen.
- Un responsable doit autoriser (A manager must approve): enter the Motif (Reason) (at least 5 characters), pick the manager’s name (administrator, operations or supervisor), then the manager types their approval code (6 digits, not their PIN). Tap Continuer (Continue).
- The screen shows “Responsable : …” (Manager: …). Enter the Montant affiché par la machine (Amount shown by the machine) — unless your venue has the credits read from the photo: then no amount is asked here.
- Tap Déclarer le paiement manuel (Declare the manual payment). The code is checked at that moment.
- The manual payment opens “à photographier” (to photograph) (the tablet or the floor attendant takes the proof), or “à valider” (to approve) by the main register. It appears in “À traiter” and in the list of manual payments.
What comes next — photos, credits read, approval, reset to zero — is described in Pulse manual payment: photo proof.
