A withdrawal takes the credit back from a machine to pay the customer. The rule: you pay what the machine really paid back, backed by the device’s proof — never the amount asked for.

Withdraw from a machine

Register

1. Tap Retirer (Withdraw) (or the − key on the keyboard).
2. Machine: tap its tile.
3. Mode de paiement (Payment mode) — “Comment le joueur est payé” (How the player is paid): only the modes that pay a player are offered (never “Offert”, Complimentary). Cash: “le montant sort du tiroir” (the amount leaves the drawer); mobile money: “Hors tiroir : aucun billet ne sort du tiroir” (Off-drawer: no banknote leaves the drawer).
4. Montant (Amount): the first amount offered is Tout (…) (All (…)), the credit read on the machine. You can type another amount.
5. Vérifier (Check): “− RETRAIT — Le crédit sort de la D-01 : le client est payé” (− WITHDRAWAL — The credit leaves D-01: the customer is paid).
6. Tap Retirer 20 000 Ar (Withdraw 20,000 Ar) (with mobile money: Retirer 20 000 Ar — Orange Money, for example).
7. Read the verdict, then pay the customer the amount withdrawn.

Tablet

By default, a tablet withdraws “paid at the counter”: it empties the machine in front of the customer, but pays out no banknotes. The customer will be paid at a main register, on showing a code.

1. Tap Retirer — payé au guichet (Withdraw — paid at the counter) (“Retirer” when the row is narrow).
2. Machine, then Montant (“Montant à retirer”, Amount to withdraw; the first amount offered is the machine’s credit).
3. Vérifier: “Le crédit sort de la D-01 : le client sera payé au guichet” (The credit leaves D-01: the customer will be paid at the counter). Effet sur vos espèces : Aucun. (Effect on your cash: None.)
4. Tap Retirer 20 000 Ar — payé au guichet (Withdraw 20,000 Ar — paid at the counter).
5. The Retrait — payé au guichet (Withdrawal — paid at the counter) verdict shows the amount Dû au client (Owed to the customer) and, very large, the 4-character code of the debt. Give this code to the customer: they will show it at the counter.

The verdict

Verdict	What you pay
Retiré (Withdrawn)	The amount withdrawn, proven by the device. The drawer has gone down by the same amount.
Retrait partiel (Partial withdrawal)	Only the amount the machine paid back (shown as “À payer au client”, To pay the customer). The machine kept the rest; only the actual amount left the drawer.
Refusé par la machine (Refused by the machine)	Nothing: nothing moved. The sentence says why.
Verdict incertain (Uncertain verdict)	Nothing until operations has decided. Voir la preuve (See the proof).
En attente du boîtier (Waiting for the device)	Nothing for now: the order will leave when the device is back.

Common refusals

• “La machine n’a que … de crédit (demandé …).” (The machine only has … of credit (asked …).) — tap Réessayer avec (Try again with) the amount offered.
• “Partie en cours sur la machine : attendez la fin de la partie.” (Game in progress on the machine: wait for the end of the game.) — when the venue refuses transfers during a game. The en jeu (in play) state clears by itself five minutes after the last game start.
• “Fonds de caisse insuffisants (… disponible, …)” (Insufficient register funds (… available, …)) — the drawer is not enough: request a refill (Safe) or pay in another mode.
• A transfer already in progress on the machine, a door open: wait, then start again.

Pay with mobile money

A withdrawal paid with mobile money takes no banknote out of the drawer. The payment reference only exists after sending: it is given at hand-over.

1. At the verdict: “Payez le joueur en …, puis saisissez la référence du paiement à la remise.” (Pay the player in …, then enter the payment reference at hand-over.)
2. Send the payment to the player, then tap Saisir la référence (Enter the reference).
3. Enter the reference and confirm the hand-over. See Hand over / counter payout.

As long as the reference is missing, the Référence à saisir (Reference to enter) notification stays in “À traiter” (To do).

The player empties the machine themselves

The player can request payment with the button on their machine. The device locks the machine, reads its credit, and the server creates the withdrawal on the register that must pay: the register that credited the machine, otherwise the most recently opened main register. A tablet receives it only if the venue allows it to withdraw and it has the cash.

1. A notification arrives at once: “Cash-out joueur” (Player cash-out) — “Cash-out en cours de preuve : ne remettez rien avant le verdict du boîtier.” (Cash-out being proven: hand over nothing before the device’s verdict.)
2. The proof arrives in one or two seconds; the notification becomes “À remettre en main propre. Le tiroir est déjà débité.” (To hand over in person. The drawer has already been debited.)
3. Hand the cash to the player, then tap Remis au joueur (Handed to the player). Paid other than in cash? Tap Autre mode (Other mode): see Hand over / counter payout.

No register can pay?

If no open register can take the withdrawal, the machine switches to manual payment. The notification says so: “Cash-out machine refusé — La machine passe en paiement manuel.” (Machine cash-out refused — The machine switches to manual payment.) Settle it like a manual payment: see Manual payments.
