Printers

Register receipts and tickets come out of the venue’s printer. This screen says what the venue server observes, and lets you act: print a test page, retry a receipt that did not come out.

Printer status

Two cards:

Imprimante 1 — principale (Printer 1 — main): each receipt goes here first;
Imprimante 2 — secours (Printer 2 — backup): used when printer 1 fails.

Each one shows its status — Joignable (Reachable), Papier fini (Out of paper), Injoignable (Unreachable) or Non configurée (Not configured) —, its address, the server’s Constat (Finding: the cause, in plain words) and the time of the last check (Vérifié à, Checked at). The status does not update by itself: click Relire l’état (Read status again) after working on the printer.

On the card, click Imprimer une page de test (Print a test page).
A « TEST IMPRIMANTE » (PRINTER TEST) page comes out immediately. If not, the screen shows « Page de test non imprimée » (Test page not printed) with the reason: never a false “printed”.

Failed prints

A receipt that could not come out is not lost: it waits in Impressions en échec (Failed prints), named in plain words (« Reçu de transfert », Transfer receipt; « Ticket de paiement manuel », Manual payment ticket; « Reçu de sortie comptoir », Counter payout receipt; « Ticket de caisse (session) », Register ticket (session)…), with the time of the request and the cause.

Réessayer (Retry) sends the document as it stands today.
Abandonner… (Drop…) removes it from the list (dropping it is recorded in the audit log); it can still be reprinted on request.

Print settings (administrator)

The Adresses et réglages d’impression → (Addresses and print settings →) link opens the Impression (Printing) section of Settings:

the address of printer 1 and of the backup printer (given by the technician who installed them);
the Largeur du papier (caractères) (Paper width (characters)) and Ouvrir le tiroir-caisse à l’impression (Open the cash drawer when printing) settings (the drawer opens when a cash receipt is printed);
tickets: En-tête des tickets (Ticket header), Pied des tickets (Ticket footer), Exemplaires (Copies);
Reçus automatiques par type (Automatic receipts by type): which documents print by themselves;
retries before switching to the backup printer;
