Adding machines
A machine joins the venue through its device. Once plugged in, the device finds the venue server on its own and announces itself: it appears in Boîtiers en attente (Pending devices). Adopting it attaches it to a machine. There is no address to type in.
Watch a device arrive
Section titled “Watch a device arrive”- Plug the device into the machine and into the venue network.
- Open Exploitation → Boîtiers en attente (Operations → Pending devices). A few seconds after you plug it in, its card appears, marked apparu (appeared). A badge on the menu entry counts the pending devices.
Each card shows the device’s identifier (“uid”), since when it announced itself and what it read from the machine. A card sans nouvelles (no news) for a long time is greyed out.
Adopt a device
Section titled “Adopt a device”- On the card, click Adopter… (Adopt…) (or Choisir son type… (Choose its type…) if the machine does not answer in SAS: it is probably a pulse machine).
- The Adopter le boîtier (Adopt the device) panel shows Ce que le boîtier annonce (What the device announces): serial, asset number, game, denomination, SAS protocol, and whether the identity is lue en entier (fully read).
- Choose:
- Rattacher à une machine (Attach to a machine): the machine already exists on the floor; pick it from the list (natural order);
- Créer la machine (Create the machine) (administrator): choose a Profil d’enrôlement (Enrolment profile) (or “aucun profil”, no profile), enter the Numéro de machine (Machine number: the floor number, for example “D-04”) and, if needed, the Préfixe du poste (Station prefix).
- Confirm: Rattacher à … (Attach to …) or Créer … et adopter (Create … and adopt).
The Boîtier adopté (Device adopted) banner confirms. The device restarts under its new identifier (about 15 s), then comes online in the venue: Voir D-04 → (See D-04 →) opens its record. The adoption is written to the audit log.
The station prefix (“P1”)
Section titled “The station prefix (“P1”)”When several stations of the same machine read the same number (a roulette with several stations, for example), enter a Préfixe du poste (Station prefix): with “P1”, the machine will be called “P1-” followed by the serial read. Each station thus gets a distinct name.
When adoption is refused
Section titled “When adoption is refused”The panel shows the server’s sentence. The common cases:
| Banner | What to do |
|---|---|
| Les séries ne correspondent pas (The serials do not match) (“Le boîtier lit” / “La fiche dit”, The device reads / The record says) | Check the machine. If the record is wrong: La fiche est fausse : corriger avec la série lue (The record is wrong: correct it with the serial read). Otherwise: Sinon, c’est la mauvaise machine : en choisir une autre (Otherwise, it is the wrong machine: choose another). |
| Série pas encore lue (Serial not read yet) | Wait until the device has read the machine (SAS link connected). |
| The machine already has a device | First detach the old device (machine record → Boîtier (Device) tab). |
| A money order for the machine is not concluded | Wait for its proof, or decide it in Transfers. |
| Conflit d’identité (Identity conflict) | The device believes it belongs to a machine already held by another device: Résoudre le conflit… (Resolve the conflict…) adopts it explicitly, or leave it. |
| Réservé à l’administrateur (Administrator only) | Creating a machine is for the administrator only; operations can attach to an existing machine. |
Adopt in a batch
Section titled “Adopt in a batch”To commission many machines at once (administrator):
- In Boîtiers en attente (Pending devices), click Adopter en lot… (Adopt in a batch…).
- Choose the Profil d’enrôlement (Enrolment profile).
- Tick the devices, and for each one enter the N° de machine (Machine no.) (and, if needed, the station prefix, the type and the value of one coin for a pulse machine).
- Start the adoption. The Résultats (Results) table gives one row per device: adopté (adopted) or refusé (refused), with the reason. One refusal does not stop the others.
Enrolment profiles
Section titled “Enrolment profiles”A profile saves you typing the same settings for each machine in a series. They are managed in Exploitation → Boîtiers → Profils d’enrôlement (Operations → Devices → Enrolment profiles) (administrator): Nom (Name), Description, Préfixe du numéro (Number prefix: with “D-”, on adoption “04” becomes “D-04”), Protocole (Protocol: SAS or Pulse), Valeur d’une pièce (pulse) (Coin value, pulse), Fabricant (Manufacturer), Clé AFT (AFT key), Groupe (Group), Host cashout and Limite de transfert (Transfer limit; empty = venue setting). A disabled profile is no longer offered.
Remove a silent device from the list
Section titled “Remove a silent device from the list”An old device card that is no longer a real machine (device stored away, machine taken off the floor) can clutter the list.
- On its card, click Retirer de la liste (Remove from the list) (the button only appears if the device has not announced itself for at least 10 minutes).
- Write a Motif (Reason) if you wish, then confirm Retirer de la liste (Remove from the list).
If it is plugged in again, it will reappear. A device that holds a machine is not removed this way: use Détacher (Detach) on the machine’s record (see Devices).
