Shared register device?
The same phone (or the same tablet) can carry the Lucky Caisse register and Lucky Touch Admin. The two apps stay separate: no data passes from one to the other. But a device left at the counter, which several people handle, must not leave the whole company’s money open: that is why the app asks you how the device is used.
When the question appears
Section titled “When the question appears”Only on Android, and only if Lucky Caisse is installed on the device. It comes once, right after your first sign-in (password and second factor), before you choose your code. Nothing else opens before you answer. On iPhone, or without the register app, it never appears.
- The Cet appareil est-il une caisse partagée au guichet ? (Is this device a shared register at the counter?) screen explains: « « Lucky Caisse » est installée sur ce téléphone. Dites-nous comment il sert : cela décide si votre connexion y est gardée. » (“Lucky Caisse” is installed on this phone. Tell us how it is used: this decides whether you stay signed in on it.)
- Choose an answer — Non, c’est mon téléphone (No, it’s my phone) is chosen by default.
- Tap Continuer (Continue).
What each answer changes
Section titled “What each answer changes”| Answer | Result |
|---|---|
| Non, c’est mon téléphone (No, it’s my phone) | « La connexion est gardée : à chaque ouverture, votre code (ou votre empreinte) suffit. » (You stay signed in: each time you open the app, your code (or your fingerprint) is enough.) This is the right choice for your personal phone, even if you installed the register app on it for testing. |
| Oui, caisse partagée au guichet (Yes, shared register at the counter) | « Plusieurs personnes s’en servent : la connexion n’est pas gardée, votre mot de passe sera redemandé à chaque ouverture de l’application. » (Several people use it: you do not stay signed in, your password will be asked each time the app is opened.) Nothing is kept on the device; your 6-digit code is still asked when you come back to the app. |
In the online back office, the device then carries the poste de caisse (register device) badge in your devices.
Change the answer later
Section titled “Change the answer later”- Réglages → Sécurité (Settings → Security), Caisse partagée au guichet (Shared register at the counter) section.
- Choose the other answer.
- To switch to Oui (Yes), confirm Caisse partagée au guichet ? (Shared register at the counter?): « La connexion ne sera plus gardée sur cet appareil : votre mot de passe sera redemandé à la prochaine ouverture de l’application. » (You will no longer stay signed in on this device: your password will be asked the next time the app is opened.) → Oui, caisse partagée (Yes, shared register).
Each change goes through the platform and is recorded in the company’s log. The section appears only if the register app is installed on the device, or if the device is already declared a shared register.
