Tamper evidence

The accounts of a gaming venue must be checkable after the fact. Lucky Touch guarantees this in three ways: a numbered accounting entry can no longer be changed, a file handed to an accountant can be proven, and a reprinted paper never passes itself off as the original.

  • A numbered entry never moves. A mistake is corrected with a new entry (a reversal, a correction), never by editing the old one. Every night the venue checks that nothing was edited, removed or added; an anomaly raises a critical alert in Alerts. Money keeps flowing: the check never blocks the register.
  • Every exported file is recorded in the audit log at the moment it is handed over: who exported it, when, which period, which filters, how many lines. An interrupted download is marked as such.
  • A period close archive can be read again by its number (ARC-…), shown in Period closes → Archives.

An accountant, an auditor or the regulator hands you a file (FEC, accounting CSV, document) and asks whether it really comes from the venue, in full.

  1. Open Grand livre (General ledger), click Exporter (Export), then the Vérifier (Verify) tab.
  2. Click Choisir le fichier… (Choose the file…) and choose the file. Its fingerprint is computed on your computer: the file is not sent. You can also paste the fingerprint received with the file, or an archive number ARC-…, into the Empreinte SHA-256 ou n° d’archive (SHA-256 fingerprint or archive no.) field.
  3. Click Vérifier (Verify).

For each time this file was handed over, the result gives: the export type and its format, remis en entier (handed over in full) or fichier INCOMPLET (téléchargement interrompu) (INCOMPLETE file (download interrupted)), by whom (or “envoi par abonnement”, sent by subscription), the day and time, the period, the filters, the number of lines and entries, and the file name. Nothing is regenerated: it is the record of what was handed over that day.

From an export you have just made, the Vérifier ce fichier → (Verify this file →) link opens this tab directly.

The record number and DUPLICATA on receipts

Section titled “The record number and DUPLICATA on receipts”
  • Each register receipt carries, under the title, the number of the entry that posted it (line « Piece : … »). As long as the entry is not numbered yet, the receipt says so (« n° a venir », number to come).
  • Every reprint is a DUPLICATA: the « DUPLICATA n° 1 » banner (then 2, 3…), the date and time of the reprint to the second, the person who asked for it, and what happened to the original (printed on…, or not printed). Each reprint is traced in the audit log.
  • A DUPLICATA never opens the drawer. Only the first paper, the one for the action, opens it.
  • A receipt whose payment mode was corrected prints the original, then a CORRECTIONS section (before → after, who, when), then the form in force. A reprinted closing receipt stays the one from the closing, followed by what changed after the closing.
