Machine tests

Before putting a pulse machine into service (or after an intervention), the technician tests it: they inject test coins, check that every button and every connector line responds, then close the test. The test report stays attached to the machine. Test coins never mix with players’ money.

The screen is used on a tablet, in front of the machine. The technician lands directly on Tests des machines (Machine tests); operations also reach it through the Tests tab of the machine record.

Tests des machines (Machine tests) lists the pulse machines whose type has been chosen: Machine, Type, Test (EN TEST, IN TEST, if a test is open), État (State). Search by number, then open the machine. A banner recalls the alerts for the test in progress.

  1. In Mode test / mise en service (Test mode / commissioning), prepare the opening.
  2. For a V5500 or a Sigma: check on screen that the machine shows 0 credit, and tick “La machine … affiche 0 crédit (je l’ai vérifié à l’écran)” (The machine … shows 0 credit, I checked it on screen). The device does not read this credit: without this confirmation, the test does not open.
  3. Write a Motif (Reason) if you wish (commissioning, maintenance, check…).
  4. Click Ouvrir le test (Open the test).

As soon as you ask, the machine is EN TEST (IN TEST): the register can no longer credit it until the test is closed. The device’s acknowledgement shows live (Accusé du boîtier (Device acknowledgement) or Refusé par le boîtier (Refused by the device), with the reason: a game in progress, for example).

One order at a time: wait for the device’s acknowledgement before the next one.

  • Pièces de test (Test coins) (1 to 20), then Injecter … pièces de test (Inject … test coins).
  • Clé de test (remise à zéro) (Test key, reset); on a V5500, also Clé de test — variante cash-out (Test key — cash-out variant).
  • Allumer OUT… (2 s) (Turn on OUT…, 2 s): turns on an output with no money (lamp, keypad lock), to check the wiring.

The test counters are shown: Pièces de test injectées (Test coins injected), Pièces de test encore sur la machine (Test coins still on the machine), Clés de test actionnées (Test keys turned), and depending on the type Pièces payées par le hopper (Coins paid by the hopper) (S5500) or Mises de test (Test bets) and Parties de test (Test games) (V5500, Sigma).

The Liste de contrôle (Checklist) has one row per connector input (“IN2 — Bouton BET ONE”, IN2 — BET ONE button…), per output, and for the coin, the key and the hopper. A row ticks itself ok (constaté) (ok, observed) when the device sees it move. For the others, choose the result: ok, non vu (not seen), non câblé (not wired), and add a Note… if needed.

  1. Reset the machine with Clé de test (remise à zéro) (Test key, reset): no test coin must remain on it.
  2. Click Fermer le test (Close the test). A sentence under the button says what is missing, if anything is.

The device refuses to close while a test game is not finished: let it finish, or use the test key. There is no forced close. A test left open with no activity closes on its own, only if no test coin remains.

The Rapport de test / mise en service (Test / commissioning report) button (or Rapport provisoire, Provisional report, during the test) opens the report: technician, opening and closing times, device and firmware, Machine à 0 (Machine at 0), Rendue au jeu à zéro (Returned to play at zero), the test coins and the differences found. It can be exported as PDF, Excel or CSV: it is the document to hand to the regulator. The Historique des tests (Test history) keeps all the machine’s tests.

The QR de la machine (Machine QR) is stuck on the machine: the floor attendant, the register or the tablet scans it before photographing a manual payment, to prove that the photo is of this machine. It is on the machine record, Vue d’ensemble (Overview) tab (operations).

  1. Click Imprimer le QR (Print the QR), then confirm.
  2. Print the page and stick the QR on the machine, clearly visible.

Damaged or torn-off QR: Réimprimer le QR… (Reprint the QR…). The new QR replaces the old one, which is no longer valid: stick on the new one. The QR is printed from the venue back office, never from the online back office.
