Roles

An account has one role only. The role decides what the person sees: a screen that is not open to them does not appear (it is never greyed out), and the venue server refuses any action that is not theirs anyway.

Role What it does What it never does
Main register (Caisse principale) Holds a drawer: opens the register, takes money in, credits, withdraws, pays manual payments and debts, makes requests to the safe, manages its tablets, closes. Can also photograph manual payments on coin machines. Open the back office.
Tablet An extension of a main register, with a ceiling granted by it: credits machines on the floor, withdraws “paid at the counter”, hands its cash in to its main register. Also photographs manual payments on coin machines. Open or close a register; pay a manual payment on a coin machine (the main register pays it).
Floor attendant On a smartphone, in a reduced workspace: photographs manual payments on coin machines (machine QR code, photos, credits read). See an amount, touch the money.

What a tablet may also do (withdraw and pay out itself, pay a manual payment, counter payout) is set per venue, in the back office. See Working on the tablet and Floor attendant.

Role (name on screen) Its workspace
Administrator (Administrateur) Everything: settings, accounts, money, floor, audit.
Operations (Exploitation) Runs the venue: machines, transfers, manual payments, registers and safe, accounting, reports. Reads the venue settings; changing them, like managing accounts, is the administrator’s job.
Supervisor (Supervision) The same permissions as operations.
Finance (read-only) Reads all the money: accounting, reports and exports, registers, safe, transfers, manual payments, audit log — no actions.
Security (read-only) Monitors: live floor, alerts, devices and audit log — never an amount, never the settings.
Technician (Technicien) Commissioning and testing of coin machines (“Tests” tab, test report) — never the money or the settings.

When the venue is linked to the platform, the accounts belong to the company: a person keeps the same username, the same PIN and the same role in all their venues. They are managed in the online back office, on the Personnes (People) screen.

Role What it does
Owner Sees and manages all the venues of the company, all the people (except another owner), the subscription. In a venue, the owner has the permissions of an administrator.
Administrator (of the company) Manages people up to the Operations role, and the venues open to them.
Operations, Supervisor, Finance, Security, Technician The same workspaces as in the venue, in the online back office, for the venues they are allowed.

The owner and the administrators sign in with a second factor. Register roles have no online access. The Lucky Touch Admin app opens to company people who have online access; each person sees what their role allows.

An action reserved for operations, at the register

Section titled “An action reserved for operations, at the register”

Some register actions are not the cashier’s job: resolve an uncertain transfer, take over or cancel a manual payment, carry out a request to the safe, force-unlink a tablet, dismiss a failed receipt. The register then shows Action réservée à l’exploitation (Action reserved for operations):

  1. a manager taps S’identifier (Identify) and enters their Identifiant exploitation (Operations username) and their PIN ou mot de passe (PIN or password);
  2. they tap Élever (Elevate), carry out the action, then Quitter l’élévation (Leave elevation).

The elevation is recorded in the ledger and closes by itself after the action. A refused attempt is recorded too.
