Tablets
A tablet is a mobile register, linked to a parent register (a main register) that grants it a ceiling. It takes intakes on the floor, then hands in its cash to the main register, which counts it. The Tablettes (Tablets) screen supervises all of this.
The top of the screen
Section titled “The top of the screen”Five figures: Plafonds accordés (Ceilings granted), Espèces chez les tablettes (Cash held by tablets), Remises en attente (Pending hand-ins), Écarts de remise à régulariser (Hand-in differences to adjust), Détiennent sans caisse (Holding without a register: tablets that keep cash without a parent register).
All tablets
Section titled “All tablets”One row per tablet: Tablette (Tablet), État (State), Caisse mère (Parent register), Plafond (Ceiling), Consommé (Used), Disponible (Available), Espèces détenues (Cash held), Écart de remise (Hand-in difference), Remise (Hand-in).
Hand-ins
Section titled “Hand-ins”The Remises (Hand-ins) block lists the hand-ins: Demandée (Requested), Remise (Handed in), Déclaré (Declared: what the tablet announces), Compté (Counted: what the main register counted), Écart (Difference), État de l’écart (Difference state). Tabs: En attente (Pending), Écarts ouverts (Open differences), Confirmées (Confirmed), Refusées (Refused), Toutes (All); the Écart (Difference) menu filters by how the difference was settled.
Adjust a hand-in difference
Section titled “Adjust a hand-in difference”When the main register counts something other than what the tablet declared, the difference stays with the tablet and blocks it: its parent register cannot close. Only operations can clear it. An alert flags it.
- In Remises (Hand-ins), Écarts ouverts (Open differences) tab, click Régulariser… (Adjust…) on the hand-in.
- The step recalls the Tablette (Tablet), Comptée par (Counted by), the Déclaré (Declared), the Compté (Counted), the Écart (Difference) and the Note de la caisse (Register note).
- Choose what happened:
- La tablette a rendu le manque (The tablet returned the shortfall) / Le surplus lui a été rendu (The surplus was returned to it): settled in cash; the drawer of the chosen main register receives the shortfall or returns the surplus;
- La salle absorbe la perte (The venue absorbs the loss) / La salle garde le surplus (The venue keeps the surplus): no money moves; the difference becomes a loss or a gain not in takings (“Écarts de remise tablette”, Tablet hand-in differences, in the register report);
- Imputer le surplus sur ses espèces (Charge the surplus to its cash) (surplus only): the extra notes were its own; its cash goes down by the surplus;
- Retenue sur la personne (Deduction from the person) (shortfall only): the whole shortfall becomes a deduction from the tablet holder, to be repaid to the safe, waived or settled on payroll (see Floats and player balances).
- Write the Motif de la régularisation (Adjustment reason, required), then confirm.
The alert clears on its own, and the decision is written to the audit log.
Force-unlink a tablet
Section titled “Force-unlink a tablet”A tablet still linked to a parent register that must close can be force-unlinked (operations): Délier de force… (Force unlink…) on its row, reason, then Délier de force (Force unlink).
Link history
Section titled “Link history”Historique des liaisons (Link history) shows, over the period, which tablet was linked to which parent register, and when.
On the register side, see Link a tablet, its ceiling and Working on the tablet.
