Floor attendant

When a coin machine locks on a win to be paid by hand, the venue can require a photo proof before paying. The floor attendant goes to the machine with their phone and takes this proof. Their screen shows only the manual payments to photograph: no other function, and they never pay. The payment is then approved at the register (see Pulse manual payment: photo proof).

The main register can take the proof itself: Photographier (Photograph) button on the proof of a pulse manual payment. On a computer, the list is read-only: “Cet ordinateur ne prend ni photo ni QR : les paiements manuels ci-dessous se photographient sur un téléphone ou une tablette (agent de salle).” (This computer takes neither photos nor QR codes: the manual payments below are photographed on a phone or a tablet (floor attendant).)

Each card gives the machine (“Machine D-01”), what locked it, how far the proof has got (“Photos : 1 sur 2”, Photos: 1 of 2, “Crédits à déclarer”, Credits to declare, or “Crédits déclarés”, Credits declared) and who is holding it. The list updates by itself; when empty, it says “Aucun paiement manuel à photographier pour le moment. La liste se met à jour toute seule.” (No manual payment to photograph for now. The list updates by itself.)

To end your service, tap Se déconnecter (Sign out), at the top right.

  1. Tap the machine’s card. The steps are shown at the top: QR, Photo 1, Photo 2, Crédits (Credits).
  2. QR: scan the QR code stuck on the machine (“Scannez le QR collé sur la machine D-01.”, Scan the QR code stuck on machine D-01.). Once it is checked: “QR de la machine vérifié : photographiez l’écran de la machine.” (Machine QR code checked: photograph the machine’s screen.) From then on, you hold this manual payment: only you add photos to it.
  3. Photo 1: the machine’s screen (credits or win), the whole screen in the frame. Tap Prendre la photo 1 (Take photo 1). The camera opens inside the app; you never pick a photo from the gallery.
  4. Photo 2: the device display or the machine’s plate. Tap Prendre la photo 2 (Take photo 2).
  5. Crédits: type the Crédits lus sur l’écran de la machine (Credits read on the machine’s screen). The screen shows the conversion (“= 125 000 Ar (1 crédit = 100 Ar)”, = 125,000 Ar (1 credit = 100 Ar)); if the value of a credit is not known, the server works out the amount. Tap Envoyer les crédits (Send the credits).
  6. “Preuve envoyée : la caisse valide le paiement manuel.” (Proof sent: the register approves the manual payment.) Tap Retour à la liste (Back to the list).

The number of photos required is a venue setting: there may be one more photo (“un autre angle de l’écran de la machine”, another angle of the machine’s screen).

The venue Wi-Fi does not reach everywhere. The attendant can carry on:

  • the QR code is checked later: “Hors réseau : le QR sera vérifié par le serveur avec l’envoi des photos.” (Off the network: the QR code will be checked by the server when the photos are sent.);
  • the photos and the credits wait on the phone, with the time they were taken: “Preuve prise : elle partira au retour du réseau. Vous pouvez passer au paiement manuel suivant.” (Proof taken: it will be sent when the network is back. You can move on to the next manual payment.);
  • the Hors réseau (Off the network) box counts what is waiting: “1 envoi en attente — il partira au retour du réseau.” (1 upload pending — it will be sent when the network is back.)

When the network is back, everything goes out by itself, only once. These uploads belong to your account: another attendant signed in on the same phone never sends them in your place. Do not uninstall the app while uploads are waiting: the photos are kept in the app, not in the gallery.
